Wow, Look at this rare pin. Looking at the Collectible silver jewelry book on page 23, it describes this artist. Gugliemo Cini was born in Italy and arrived to the USA when he was 17 years old, around 1922. Cini jewelry is primarily sterling and reflecting classical and renaissance influences. Many are his own designs. This is considered among the best manufactured silver jewelry in America. The company stopped production in the 1970s. The signature is Cini or G Cini. This particular brooch is signed G CINI sterling and is numbered 205. It is in excellent condition. I think it is some mythical fish figural. It is diffinitely a very interesting figural. It is about 1 3/4 inches long and 3/4 inch tall. Looing in the book Silver Jewelry Treasures on page 91, it shows a small animal figural from this artist in the design of a turtle, it is priced at 400-600 dollars. The 3rd edition of warmans on page 193 has a bird figural done by this artist and it is listed at 250.00. I do not think it is nearly as unique and interesting as the mythical figh figural that I am selling. Please feel free to email me about questions.
