GUEVARA, ERNESTO CHE
(1928 - 1967) Argentine Marxist revolutionary and guerrilla leader, allied with Fidel and Raul Castro in their successful revolutionary activities, headed Cuba's finances, led revolutionary activities in the Congo and in Bolivia where he was captured and executed. Exceptionally rare signed book, his paperback volume La Guerra de Guerillas, [n.p., n.d., likely Havana, 1960], picturing Guevara on the cover and dedicated to his comrade in arms, Camilio Cienfuegos. The book, in Spanish, is essentially a "how-to" handbook for guerillas, with chapters concerning urban and rural strategy and tactics and various illustrations. Inscribed in Spanish on the front flyleaf: "For Julia - the good friend of the bad friend, with the intent to explain why in human relations we are limited [illegible]…Che". Contents bear some slight foxing, signed page has some aged tape stains barely affecting the inscription, spine restored, protected in a clamshell case.
