Fine content A.L.S. on his Attorney General's letterhead, 4pp. 8vo., Trenton, Oct. 20, 1884, to W. Hutchins, in part: <i>"...I agree with you that [Grover] Cleveland will be elected. This however in my opinion is because we have at last obliged the wing to ask the assistance of the Democratic Party. I think now we will carry New York state by from 75,000 to 100,000...In regard to New Jersey I am afraid the mutual admiration society may not awake in time...I believe the Republican plan is to give up New York and carry Indiana and New Jersey...Blaine is to be carried next week into his district...He said in a public speech he had 75...Democrats in the small locality of Eaglewood where I spent last night. We are using McSweeney but the Irish have been told that we have bought him to tell...</i>". Boldly written and very good.<b> $75-100</b>
