CENTURY. No.1: VZ24 Polish Bayonet. 9 3/4" bright fullered blade. Blade is marked on the left ricasso w/ the "Polish eagle" & "W.P.". Marked on right ricasso "PERKUN" for the Perkun Arsenal, two triangular acceptance marks & serial number. Right side of pommel has "WZ.24". Balance of metal is bright. Flash guard is present. Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. Steel scabbard w/ "OD" green painted finish. CONDITION: metal has moderate wear, turning gray & patina. Grips in good lightly worn condition. Scabbard has considerable loss of its green paint w/ the metal turning patina. No.2: South American Contract Bayonet for Model 93/95 Mauser Rifle. 9 7/8" bright fullered blade. 14 3/8" overall. Blade is marked on the left ricasso "WEYERSBERG / KIRSCHBAUM & CO / SOLINGEN". Right ricasso has two acceptance marks consisting of a "star in shield" & "3 interlocking circles". Smooth walnut grips retained by two rivets. Serial number on crossguard matches steel scabbard. CONDITION: unsharpened blade is turning gray w/ moderate wear. Balance of metal shows oxidation, wear & handling marks. Grips have notable wear & handling marks. Scabbard has small dents & pits, but has been refinished w/ cold blue. No.3: Persian Bayonet. 15 5/8" bright fullered blade. 21" overall. Bayonet is marked only w/ "crown" & Farsi numerals at end of pommel. Bayonet equipped w/ muzzle ring. Smooth walnut grips secured by rivets. Blued steel scabbard. CONDITION: bayonet & scabbard in very good condition w/ very light wear & scattered spots of discoloration on the bright blade. No.4: Czech VZ24 Short Bayonet. 11 3/4" bright fullered blade w/ inverted cutting edge. 17" overall. Right ricasso is marked w/ "CFZ / R". Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. End of pommel has "GR" & "serial number". CONDITION: bayonet has been heavily sharpened w/ grind marks & small nicks. Metal is turning gray. Grips have moderate wear & handling marks. Scabbard is well-worn w/ a large dent turning overall gray. No.5: Middle Eastern Bayonet. 9 5/8" bright fullered blade. 14 1/8" overall. Blade appears to be from British Model 1907 Type Bayonet. Fuller extends through the point, indicating blade has been shortened. Crossguard appears to be for small ring Mauser type rifles. Smooth hardwood grips retained by two hand-peened rivets. Blued steel scabbard has been arsenal modified, but the "CFZ" marking indicates original Czech manufacture. CONDITION: bayonet has heavy wear, scattered spots of oxidation & fine pitting. Blade has been sharpened. Scabbard has arsenal rework type blue. No.6: British Model 1907 Bayonet. 11 3/4" fullered blade. Fuller extends through point. 16 1/2" overall. Blade markings except date rendered obscure by the arsenal rework. Crossguard is marked "DP". Smooth walnut grips retained by two screws. Grips have white painted band. Scabbard is not present. CONDITION: bayonet has been lightly sharpened & has a worn arsenal rework type finish. Grips have wear & handling marks throughout. White paint is worn & flaking. No.7: Yugoslavian Model 1924 Bayonet. 15 1/8" bright fullered blade. 20 1/4" overall. Blade marked on the right ricasso w/ "triangled BT3". Crossguard carries serial number. Steel scabbard w/ German type black leather frog. CONDITION: blade has been heavily sharpened & shows oxidation & wear. Balance of metal turning patina w/ wear. Grips have worn stained appearance. Scabbard has moderate oxidation throughout. Leather frog has scuffing, staining & wear. Part of retaining strap is not present. (02-24120/RW). NON-GUN. $300-500.
