RECEIVERS. No.1: Cal. 30-06. S# 1091618. Bbl. 24". Receiver is marked on top "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903 / MARK 1 / serial number". Receiver manufactured in 1919 & has the slotted left rail to allow the use of the Pedersen Device. Receiver is w/o Hatcher hole & contains no additional Pedersen Device related parts. Included w/ the receiver is a late issue bolt w/ an extractor & collar. Bolt is marked underneath the safety lug "J 5". Replacement barrel included is marked "SA / flaming bomb / 9-21". Barrel is fitted w/ rear sight base & front sight key. CONDITION: receiver ^ barrel have worn dark Parkerized finishes. Good shiny bore w/ strong lands, but hint of frosting in grooves. (25-3113/RW). No.2: Cal. 30-06. S# 1258074. Bbl. 24". Blued steel receiver is marked on top "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903 / serial number". Blued steel receiver contains no additional parts. Included is star gauged 24" barrel. Barrel is marked behind front sight "SA / flaming bomb / 4-32". CONDITION: receiver has moderately worn thinning blue & exhibits the polished rails typical of a national match rifle. Barrel has had its finish removed, except the front sight & muzzle area, having been left bright. Barrel retains provisions for rear sight base locating pins. Very good shiny bore w/ sharp lands. (25-3126/RW). BOTH MODERN. $400-600.
