GROUP OF 3 CARTRIDGE CONVERSION REVOLVERS.
1) COLT WELLS FARGO MODEL 1849 POCKET CARTRIDGE CONVERSION. Cal. 32 RF. S# 109318. Bbl. 3". Standard configuration Wells Fargo w/ 3" bbl. & 2 line NY address. Conversion was made by cutting original percussion cyl., adding solid ring braised inside recoil shield w/ brass block holding firing pin. Flat mill hammer. Conversion was not done by Colt, but done by gunsmith or mechanic in the period. CONDITION: very good overall. Plum/gray patina, most of stage coach hold up scene can be seen, most of the original silver to grip frame & varnish to grips is retained. Most screws are replaced. Floating firing pin is missing, as is sm. screw or pin for its retention. Mechanics need attention. Clear, rifled bore. (01-19321/JS). 2) HOPKINS & ALLEN DICTATOR CARTRIDGE CONVERSION. Cal. 38 RF. S# 363. Bbl. 4". Standard configuration w/ 4" rnd. bbl., unmarked. Solid iron frame & grip strap. CONDITION: good overall. Appears all matching other than replaced or broken wedge. Gray metal. Varnished grips w/ moderate edge wear. (01-19322/JS). 3) COLT MODEL 1862 POCKET NAVY CONVERSION. Cal. 38 RF. S# 5311. Bbl. 3 1/2". Standard Richard’s conversion w/ out loading gate. 2 Line 1871-1872 patent on left side of frame, 2-line Hartford address on bbl. 5 Shot cyl. w/ stage coach hold up scene. CONDITION: very good overall. Appears matching though not disassembled. Later modification to hammer, attached firing pin for continued use. Retains 10-20% original finish. Mechanically fine w/ crisp, rifled bore w/ pitting at muzzle. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19323/JS). ALL ANTIQUE. $1,200-1,800.
