This unusual bamboo root cane is made of a stepped bamboo with the root "ball." The roots are covered with silvercaps, but they are irregular in shape. One of the larger caps is stamped "Sterling" with an indistinct maker's markaccompanying it. The bamboo steps are shorter as the diameter increases, and on the narrowest step near the root, are the silver initials "MUD" affixed to the bamboo. There may be one or 2 silver caps missing, but the irregularityof the pattern makes it barely noticeable. The ferrule is 1.5" nickel and steel. Overall length is 35". Some chips tofinish on shaft.(EST 600-800)
