GREAT BRITAIN 1840-1861 A Lot of 3 Cast Replicas of RARE Medals
A reduced cut back of the Band of Mercy medal AE-25 8.2 gms. edge: irregular Very Fine, A modified 2nd. Generation Cast of an Allen and Moore, Birmingham medal featuring Victoria on the Obverse and Una and the Lion on the reverse. A stylized 5 pointed cross completes the item. AE-33 6.2 grams. & 1861 Cast remake of an 1844 Preservation of Life from Shipwreak Medal named to Oliver Sarony ( a famous photographer) dated Nov. 7, 1861 in copper with a silver wash. The piece is uniface and looks like it may have had a pin back. The ribbon is not official and for display only. This lot should be viewed.

Une croix à cinq pointe stylisée complète l'item. AE-33 6.2 grammes, et 1861 remodelage d'une médaille Preservation of Life from Shipwreck 1844 nommé à Oliver Sarony (le célèbre photographe) daté du 7 novembre 1861 en cuivre avec feuille d'argent. La pièce est unifaciale et il semble qu'elle aie eu une épinglette à l'arrière. Le ruban n'est pas officiel et est pour présentation seulement. Ce lot devrait être examiné.

A buyer’s premium of twenty (20) % will be added to the hammer price of each lot and is payable by the buyer as part of the purchase price. The G.S.T. of 5 % for Canadian residents and the Q.S.T. of 9.975 % for Quebec residents ( or the H.S.T. for residents of the participating provinces) are also applicable to all successful bids as part of the purchase price.
Lots are sold to the highest bidder. In case of dispute, the decision of the auctioneer will be final. Lots should be picked up immediately after the sale. Purchasers must pay for their lots on delivery. An interest charge of two (2) % per month will be charged to buyers on all overdue accounts. Payment by cash, cheque, money-order (CAN or US currency) and credit cards Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
Payment using Paypal are possible with a 2% upcharge.
All bids are in Canadian funds. Bids in US funds will be converted at the prevailing exchange rate.
Forwarding charges, insurance and registration will be charged to the buyer. Shipment is executed at the buyer’s risk and responsibility.
Should a purchaser wish to submit an item for expertization, the auctioneer must be notified and the lot paid at the time of sale. If the lot proves to be not as described, the purchaser’s money shall be repaid in full.
Material described as having defects are not returnable on account of condition. No lots may be returned by persons who have had the opportunity to examine the material before the sale. Any returns for whatever reason must be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of lot(s). Champagne Auctions are obligated to pay all consignment lots within this amount of time.
The auctioneer reserves the right to group two (2) or more lots and also to withdraw any lot or lots from sale.
The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the foregoing conditions of sale. Bids will be executed by the auctioneer. Bidding increments are at the discretion of the auctioneer.
Mail, fax, phone or online bids are entered on a first bid received basis. In the event of a tie bid, the first bid received has priority. E-mail bids are accepted only from regular customers or if a credit card number is supplied.
