BORE GAME GUN WITH VENTILATED RIB BY G. DEFOURNEY, RETAILED BY CONTINENTAL ARMS CORP. Cal. 20 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 10195 (1951). Bbls. dovetailed 26" fitted with raised matted ventilated rib with extension are engraved "G. Defourney - Sevrin - Model 62 - Siemens Martin Nitro Steel" and "MADE IN BELGIUM For Continental Arms Corporation, New York". Bbl. flats are stamped with 1951 Belgian Nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Coin finished boxlock action features nonautomatic safety, crossbolt third fastener, and single selective trigger. Action is engraved with small sprays of scroll within line borders surrounding rudimentary game scenes with pair of flying mallards on each side and with more mallards on bottom. Steel trigger guard is blued and scroll engraved. Sunburst horn capped pistol grip buttstock of plain European walnut measures 14" over ribbed horn buttplate. Flattop point pattern checkering is at grip and a vacant silver shield is on toeline. Matching long beavertail ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .620", L .622". CONDITION: good to fine, bbls. retaining over 80% original blue with some spotting and freckling. Action retains most of its original coin finish, slightly darkened on bottom. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original finish with a fair scattering of light marks. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are bright and shiny. Action is tight. Mechanically good.
