This gold-filled handle of this cane has cut scrollwork over most of it's 4" wide by 2.25" high surface. The cartoucheleft for inscription reads "Prest By / Progress court No. 6 TBH / To Wm. F. Loftus / Jan. 5 1911." The shaft isebonized mahogany, but most of the finish has worn off. The .75" nickel ferrule also shows extensive wear. There isone large, and numerous small, dents in the end of the handle. Overall length, 34.5".(EST 400-600)
