A platinum ribbon-motif mounting (9.1 g) cradles a GIA-certified 1.70 ct pear-brilliant ruby of vivid purplish-red color from Vietnam (report #2516217496), verified free of heat treatment. Four claw prongs secure the center, while sweeping crossover panels are bead-set with near-colorless round brilliants and channel-set tapered baguettes totaling ?0.66 ctw, average G–H color and VS–SI clarity. The split-shoulder design delivers dynamic sparkle from every angle, and an open gallery keeps the substantial piece comfortable on the finger. Inside shank bears “PLAT” hallmark. Condition is excellent, with crisp facets, secure settings, and only minimal surface wear.
