Although it differs fairly significantly from the final production model, this light-tan jumpsuit (possibly sewn by Hasbro staffer and talented seamstress Florence DeLisle) is beautifully elaborate, with white stitching and separate belt and buckle. The "boots" are in fact modified from a pair of store-bought doll shoes, painted brown and extended with small plastic flaps and laces. This doll, like the others, has been "butched up" with pieces carved from his eyes, cheeks, nose, and sideburns, with the eyebrows repainted; the flocked hair is relatively intact. The jumpsuit shows two small brown stains at the thigh and knee, but still looks exceptionally sharp. A real treasure from the very earliest days of Joe's development. <I>From the personal collection of Don Levine, creator of GI Joe.</B></I> <B>Estimate: $25,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
