The Action Marine card features a bright yellow-and-orange color scheme, and a running figure. This card (alone among the four) also features, on the reverse side, four line drawings depicting the four services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines), which are rendered in black ink with white highlights. The Action Soldier card features a woodgrain-and-red combo, with a rifle-bearing figure at ease. The Action Sailor card features a blue-and-aqua background, and the most detailed of the character paintings, featuring a knife-wielding Sailor in full scuba gear. The fourth card is a smaller, more simplistic version of the larger Sailor card, with a more hastily-rendered character painting, and white-ink scrawls in place of lettering. All four cards have been created by cut-and-pasting various elements onto the finished card, but all feature actual hand-painted artwork, and are quite eye-catching. The first three cards measure 7.25" x 11", and are in excellent condition, except for the large Sailor card, which has moderate color chipping on the edges. The smaller Sailor card measures 6" x 8". Production art from toy companies is rare in general, and such prototypical pieces from the genesis of a legend like GI Joe is virtually unheard of, so don't miss this golden opportunity to add these unique items to your Joe stash. <I>From the personal collection of Don Levine, creator of GI Joe.</B></I> <B>Estimate: $25,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium.
