American punk rock singer-songwriter (1956–1993) whose obscene live shows, varied musical influences, and public self-destruction made him an unprecedented cult legend. Rare Orange Records Limited double-sided 45 rpm record of GG Allin’s 1981 single album for ‘Gimme Some Head’ and ‘Dead or Alive,’ signed and inscribed on the front of the sleeve in blue ballpoint, “To Steve, from No. 1 Animal, GG Allin.” In fine condition, with trivial wear to sleeve. The record is included. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Chris Lamy, guitarist of The Jabbers, formerly GG Allin & The Jabbers. Letter reads, in part: “The signature is authentic and representative of GG’s signature and inscriptions from the very early 80s. During this period GG would scratch letters or portions of his signatures and personalization...I believe there were a total of between 250 and 500 of these original pressings.” Both PSA/DNA and Roger Epperson (REAL) have seen this item but, due to lack of exemplars, have not issued an official opinion.
