PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# C7312. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (German designation: "P.35(p)") semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Radom arsenal and assembled at Steyr while under German occupation during World War II. The left side of the slide is marked with a Radom Eagle/77 proof, followed by "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567", an eagle firing proof, as well as a Steyr Eagle/WaA623 (indicating final assembly at Steyr). Left side of the frame is marked with a Radom Eagle/77 proof, with a Steyr Eagle/623 proof marked on the left side of the bbl. lug. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FB" (left) "VIS" (right) checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, grip safety (right), slide (underside), as well as the bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. mag., marked with "" on the spine. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some scattered superficial handling marks overall. Left side of slide exhibits light pitting, with mild pitting present on the right. Very bright bore, exhibiting areas of light to mild pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show mild smoothing, as well as some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner. (25-354/MLW).
