GEORGIAN EMBOSSED SILVER (UNMARKED) PRESENTATION CUP ENGRAVED INSCRIPTION 'Presented to Laurence Sterne on the Anniversary of his birthday, Nov 15th, 1768', embossed decoration of flowers and foliage with two oval embossed panels, head and shoulders portrait of Laurence Sterne and an allegorical scene from 'Sentimental Journey', probably a frustrated commission as Sterne died on March 18, 1768 and therefore the cup was never assayed.
