French painter and leading exponent of cubist sytle, which he evolved together with Picasso. Having been wounded during World War I, he afterward developed a more personal syle characterized by vivid color and textured surfaces. Signed lithograph entitled “Illustration I” from the Mythology Series, b/w, 11”x15”. Removed from art book editions published by Derriere Lemiroir Maeght, Paris, ca. 1950-60s. Signed in bold pencil, “<i>G Braque</i>” on border beneath image. Fine example. Nicely matted and ready to frame. Overall 14”x20”.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
