GEORGE WASHINGTON: (1732 - 1799) First President of the United States and commander of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Signature "Go: Washington" as President on a portion of a document, New York, [Sep. 20, 1794], co-signed by Attorney General EDMUND RANDOLPH (1753-1813], also signed by JOHN LAMB (1735-1800), American Revolution patriot and soldier, a leader of the Sons of Liberty and commander of Lamb's Artillery (signature bears a tiny chip to one letter). With an A.E.S. of JOHN VARICK (1753-1831), Revolutionary War officer, aide to Benedict Arnold and appointed by Washington to be Secretary for Continental Army records, who signs as Mayor. Light toning, silked on recto slightly affecting contrast which nonetheless remains entirely satisfactory. An uncommon grouping of signatures on a single item. $3,000-5,000
