<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899><h3 align=center>clinton & washington sell land in new york</h3>(1739-1812). Vice-President of United States under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Clinton served in the Continental Congress and was a brigadier general of militia during the Revolutionary War; elected the first governor of New York. Partly printed DS, 2pp, seperate, small folio, NY, Apr 6, 1797. Shortly after leaving office as President, <b>George Washington</b> (1732-1799) and Clinton sell 254 acres located south of the Mohawk River in Herkimer County, NY, part of a tract of land called Coxburgh, for the sum of 192 pounds “<i>current Money of said State</i>...” Boldly signed twice by Clinton, for himself and “<i>Geo Washington by Geo. Clinton his Attorney</i>” at conclusion of first page. Recording dockets on verso. Engrossed text is dark and completely legible. Indenture is almost completely separated along horizontal fold with loss of approx three lines of printed text; multiple marginal tears with paper loss resulting in minor loss of text; general light toning. With all faults, this unusual document is in otherwise good condition.

11. All bidding is done in a competitive manner. The
winning bid will always be one bidding increment
over the second highest bid. The minimum
acceptable bid for any lot is 50% of the low
estimate given in the item description or $25,

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped
immediately upon receipt of payment.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
authenticity by expert authenticators acceptable
