AES “<i>G. Bernard Shaw</i>,” 4to, 1p, London, Jun 4, 1904. Shaw replies at bottom margin of TLS “<i>Dick Sheppard</i>,” a name used by <b>H. R. L. Sheppard</b> (1880-1937), Vicar of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London, a well-known religious broadcaster and pacifist in the 1920s and 30s, requesting permission to include extracts of some of Shaw’s writings in an anthology, mentioning five of his works. Shaw responds, “<i>Yes, of course: anything you like. Forgive delay</i>...” Boldly penned and signed, adding “<i>4th June 1904</i>.” Annotated in an unidentified hand in red pencil. Top and right margins evidence some soiling and wear; toning at edges; o/w VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.

6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within seven day
providing that it comes back in the same condition. There is a

item(s) must be returned with two letters denying it’s authenticity by
expert authenticators acceptable to both parties.
15. The placing of a bid shall constitute acceptance of the
preceding terms and conditions of sale.
