GEORG JENSEN: WHEN YOU WANT TO INVEST IN THE FINEST:
Circa 1940's Georg Jensen Inc Denmark contracted to have his designs made in the USA during the war period. This parure set is a wonderful example of the elegance and abstract purity that his designs embodied. This gorgeous set was made in the USA during this wartime effort. Today, Jensen's tableware and stunning silver jewelry continues to be highly coveted around the world. From its inception in 1910 beyond his death in 1935 and into the 21st Century his name represents the finest in silversmith design.

Highly collectible today are Jensen designs created pre-war crafted in Denmark and post-war period (USA) Circa 1940's to 1951's. During the war Denmark was unable to produce and ship out their designs and Georg Jensen Inc for a short period closed his Denmark site and his jewelry was made in the USA. All pieces were hand-wrought and bore the name Georg Jensen, Sterling and a model # of piece.

This lovely parure set portrays the popular Danish floral foliate pattern. The necklace and bracelet set comprises a abstract stylized cartouche medallion symbolizing a vine. There are of these 13 medallions which inter-connect with a simplified hook closure on the necklace and 7 for the bracelet.
