GAR EPHEMERA OF CAPT. W.H. MICKLE, 134TH NY VOLS. Lot of 9 items, all relating to the GAR activities of William H. Mickle, Captain of the 134th NY. Mickle saw duty throughout the war, serving from 1861-65. Was wounded in action at Gettysburg, and later, in the western theatre, served as AAG on O.O. Howard's staff. Included in this lot are his GAR kepi; his service medal, with enameled captain's bar; a cabinet card of Mickle wearing same; a 1902 Gettysburg reunion medal for the dedication of Slocum's statue; an orange 1893 "Orange Blossoms" (134th NY) Gettysburg ribbon; a ca. 8 x 10" albumen image of vet's at Gettysburg; a menu for his GAR post; and a copy of his printed eulogy honoring Sherman at his death, plus two printed invitations to the annual reunion of the G.H.Thomas Post No. 4, along with associated ephemera.
