A well-used and historic loop seat F. A. Meanea, Cheyenne, Wyoming Territory saddle with attached Meanea holster. We know this was used by Grove Porter for many years, and is most likely the saddle ridden by him as Deputy Marshal during the Johnson County War in Wyoming. Hanging from the saddle on a string is Porter's single Meanea marked wrist cuff.

Provenance: Descended directly through the Porter family to Grosvenor M. Porter, III.
