Further Maine Pair. 1) ME. Oldtown. A.M. Hartwell-Lumberman's Bank. 10?. Oct. 28, 1862. Issued when Maine was part of Massachusetts. This note is half of a great rarity. The plate is genuine and the vignette side is present. It exists as half of a redeemed note and has a signed notation on the verso by Cashier Roby who signs on the face. If the note were complete, it would command upwards of $1500 or more in our estimation. As such, it is still collectible. Pedigree and history make this "fragment" important. The grade is for the half that is there. Fine. [2]
