This example was manufactured in 1951. Between 1947 and 1959 Browning switched from "Pigeon Grade" to "Grade II". This shotgun has the standard engraving of two pigeons in flight on each side of the receiver with a background of floral scroll engraving. There are two rose bouquet engravings on the bottom of the receiver. Both sides of the receiver are signed at the lower rear. The barrels have a red bead front sight, a white mid bead sight, are choked skeet/skeet and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with silver initial parallelogram and a Pachmayr recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. With a leatherette Browning takedown hardcase.

Excellent, 98% of the original blue finish remains with some minor wear at the muzzles and some minor forearm wear. 98% of the French gray finish remains with some scattered scratches. The stock is very good as shortened with some scattered minor dings and scratches along with an added recoil pad and silver initial plate added. Case is very good.
