Full stock percussion plains/target rifle circa about 1850-70 with brass mountings and engraved disc type patch box in approximately .50 caliber. The rifle measures 60 ½” overall with 44 ¾” barrel of medium toslightly heavy weight measuring approximately 1” across the flats of the muzzle. The rifle stocked in plain wood with a good shape or roman nose. The barrel and lock show a brown patina finish and there is some light tomoderate pitting on the barrel. The rifle is equipped with double set triggers and the condition is very good overall. The bolster and nipple have been replaced in modern times and the front and rear sight are probablyturn-of-the-century. Est.: $600-$1,200.
