Full stock percussion Kentucky style rifle, unmarked, approx .40 caliber, with 40-1/2” medium octagon weight barrel, 56-1/8” overall. Stock shows natural striping and plain patchbox with daisy type finial. The cheekpiece area shows a finely engraved silver eagle holding arrows with shield on chest. The stock shows an old break just behind the wrist and a heavy coating of old violin type revarnish which is very thick and the type used in the 19th century. The metal surfaces show a heavy patina with some pitting around the lock area. The front 8” of the rifle show some new rust that will clean. From the Bernard Braverman collection. Est: $800 - $1,600
