Full stock percussion Kentucky style antique rifle, .38 cal., 39” octagon barrel, tiger striped wood stock with ornate brass patchbox, lock marked “Leman, Lanctr. PA”; top of barrel shows maker initials “N” “J”. This gun is in overallgood condition and is in “out-of-the-attic” condition showing a heavy brown patina to metal surfaces, old pitting around the firing area, double set triggers that are operational at the time of description; beautiful patina on engravedpatchbox with matching patina on the brass trigger guard and butt plate. The wood stock also shows a heavy patina on the wood with some scattered nicks and mars from carry and storage; brass tipped wood ramrod with three brass retainingferules. A really classic appearing longarm. Est.: $600-$1,200.
