This piece is satiny and fully lustrous with thin wire rims around the entire coin on both sides, much like the wire rim High Relief double eagles. For the specialist in Indian gold coinage, this piece represents the art of Augustus Saint-Gaudens as he intended it to be, before Charles Barber got his hands on the design to make his "improvements."
