<B>1834 $2 1/2 Classic AU58 PCGS.</B></I> This is the so-called Small Head variety, easily the most plentiful of all Classic Head quarter eagles. This pale green-gold example has excellent luster with hints of reflectivity in the fields, especially close to the devices. Purchased in the 1930's at face value by Karl Stecher Sr. from coins turned in by the public as per President Roosevelt's March 9, 1933 directive.
