<B>1851 G$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> A frosty and attractive Gem example of this Type One issue that has plenty of eye appeal. The yellow-gold devices are well-defined overall, though a touch of softness appears at the 8 in the date. A single copper spot is noted near 3 o'clock on the obverse rim. Obtained by Karl Stecher Sr. from Thomas L. Elder during the 1930s. Accompanied by a collector's envelope that describes the piece as Brilliant Uncirculated with additional notes: "Perfect - Collection / Elder 903."
