1942/1 10C MS61 NGC. FS-101, formerly FS-010.7. Mint Director Nellie Tayloe Ross commented in 1946 about the 1942 overdate: "During that period when utmost vigilance was required to keep to keep the dies segregated by respective years, a die may have been given one blow with a 1941 hub and then, by some accident, finished with a 1942 hub." Discovered in 1943, the overdate P-mint dime has been an integral part of the series since the 1940s. This is one of the few Uncirculated coins known. Brilliant, or nearly so, the striking details are strong with a partial split in the center bands. The surfaces are a bit lackluster and do not show any mentionable marks. Census: 21 in 61, 59 finer (4/07).
From The Southland Collection.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)

Important notice:</
