1847 1C Hawaii Cent MS64 Brown PCGS. Crosslet 4, 18 berries. M. 2CC-1. Although correctly given a brown designation, glimmers of faded red color can still be detected about the devices. The strike is particularly well executed on the obverse and both sides exhibit a full complement of glossy luster. The Crosslet 4, 18 Berries is the second most difficult of six die marriages used on these interesting Hawaiian cents, trailing only the elusive Plain 4, 15 Berries 7x8.
From The Collection of Louis E.
