ALS in German, signed “Fritz,” one page, lightly-lined both sides, 8.5 x 11, April 10, 1968. Letter to his friend, film historian Lotte H. Eisner . In part: “I just got a 2nd letter from Henri - A general call on: Mon cher ami, et Colleague, signed by him and (I think) Mary. This is a call that it would be important, 22 IV of assemblée generale extraordinaire attend in person. I would greatly like to do and now - but I HAVE NOT JUST the money! […] ”- To the biography that Eisner wrote about him, he notes:" […] I have now the SPIES - and read WOMAN IN THE MOON CHAPTER. SPIES was like I had expected - and unfortunately WOMAN IN THE MOON also (this regard, I am totally with what you wrote). It seemed to me to actually do more for the rocket and the flight to the moon than about the people […] read: actors. It is incredible how did you hineingelebt in the movies and my attitude will make several letters to all chapters!” In fine condition, with light show-through from writing on reverse. Although not a financial success Woman on the Moon would be considered one of the first serious science fiction films, as the great director attempted to present the basics of rocket flight to the masses.
