Artist Friedrich Klaiberg created this oil painting around 1980, executed in oil on canvas and loose brushwork. He picked an idyllic Mediterranean costal village as a motif, painted in bright, pastel colors and bathed in a gentle, shimmering light which makes it quite a decorative painting in impressionist manner.
The oil painting is signed lower left ‘F. Klaiberg’ and is in very good condition, indicating only insignificant signs of age and wear. The stretcher frame measures 60 x 80.5 cm. The frame shows few traces of wear. The overall framed dimensions are 79 x 98.5 cm. (cru)
