A sheep flock is grazing in a summer countryside. An alley of trees is crossing the field, providing some shade for a women and her kids, who are strolling along the path. The painter Friedrich Klaiberg created this oil painting around 1960, painted in loose brushwork. The landscape is infused by a shimmering light that is very well expressed in the depiction of the sheep, creating an idyllic painting in impressionist manner.
The oil painting is signed lower left ‘F. Klaiberg’ and is in very good condition, indicating only insignificant signs of age and wear. The stretcher frame measures 60.5 x 90 cm. The frame shows few traces of wear. The overall framed dimensions are 78 x 107 cm. (cru)
