Here is a truly unique French secretary (Scriban), Empire period (Napoleon I), Circa 1800, from La Rochelle, France, very famous for the quality of its "Meubles de port".
This piece was made of Fruit wood, walnut, rosewood wood and marquetry.
The bottom part of this secretary has 3 drawers with marquetry.
The top part has 6 drawers.
Lok at the fabulous carving on each side (hands) and the lion heads on each drawer (photo #2).
All original hardware!
This secretaty-scriban is of exceptional quality and, it is an extremely rare piece.
