This French made shotgun is marked "FSE D'Armes ET cylces de St. Ettienne". It appears to be a 12 ga. shotgun with percussion ignition. The barrels are 30 in. the LOP is at 13 3/4 in., 1 1/4 in. drop at the comb, it has a straight stock of walnut and double triggers. The S/N is 5X. Date of manufacture is estimated at 1820's-1840's. The ramrod is hickory with a brass button, the stock has been re-varnished, and the here is an elaborite trigger guard in steel. One sling swivel is present and one missing at the butt-stock.



This gun is an antique and no attempt has been made to fire this gun to confirm its mechanical integrity. Nor should this gun be fired without the examination by a qualified gunsmith.
