French japanned dome top mantel clock Vincenti & Cie, mid-to-late 19th century, movement stamped MEDAILLE DÕACQUNT 1355. The 4 in. silvered dial with repainted Roman numerals and spade and double scroll hands, gong strike on hour and half hour, 8 day drum movement with Brocot suspension, typical pierced hinged back with matching numbered pendulum, typical bracket-form clock with domed top and loop handle, arch moulding, japanned case with gilded scenes of rural life, raised on four brass bun feet (one deficient) (with two keys, needs some restoration). Height 26.0 cm. (10 1/4 in.). 500 / 700
