French heavy Dragoon percussion pistol converted from flintlock to percussion, approx. .69 caliber, brass mounts, arsenal marked “Maubeuge”. The pistol remains in original good condition showing a light grey to brown patina finish, some staining, spotting, just beginning erosion, pinprick pitting, some heavier areas of pitting, mostly at the bottom side of the muzzle. The lock markings are good. The pistol shows a full complement of inspector marks and is marked 1210 on left side of breech and left side of stock. The stock shows fancy script inspector’s stamp and is in good condition other than some small losses at the front edge and some dings and mars, about good to very good overall. The ramrod is serial numbered to match and is the correct type. The mainspring is broken or missing, and the pistol is otherwise good overall with 1822 date just behind the sight. Est: $350 - $700
