Document issued in Worcester, Massachusetts, concerning deserters from the military, beginning: "I Certify That Capt. Thomas Dowdin hath apprehended as Deserters and Bro't before me the Subscriber one of his majesty's Justices of the Peace for sd County, Phineas Goodale…Isaac Clark…Cesar Ferritt…William Cary…Jonathan Fuller…Jonathan Cook." The following pages consist of a pay order and itemized list of the fees associated with the apprehension of said deserters. In very good to fine condition, with a strip of old tape along the left edge, and writing showing through from opposing sides.
