<B>A French White Marble, Gilt and Patinated Bronze Clock Case: <I>The Three Graces</B></I></B></I><BR><BR>Unknown Maker, France<BR>Circa 1890<BR>Gilt and patinated bronze, painted metal, marble<BR><BR>The painted blue drum case lacking movement with horizontal enamel chapter ring calibrated for hours and minutes and surmounted by a seated cupid, the whole held aloft by three naked women holding garlands of flowers and standing on a concave sided triangular plinth applied with gilt mounts and raised on tall feet.<BR><BR>This clock case appeared in the movie <I>Pride and Prejudice</B></I> (1995).<BR><BR> Provenance:<BR> Ken Paul Collection, London, sold Sotheby's, London, March 13-15, 2002<BR> Hendershott Collection1 <BR><BR><B>Condition Report:</B> Normal signs of wear as appropriate with age.
