Irish born French patriot and General in the American Revolutionary War, Arthur Dillon document signed, dated 10 March 1789. Signed ''A Dillion'' as Governor of Tobago, with ''Colonies'' written at upper left. A reform Royalist, Dillon sought to align the nobility and the French people but was nevertheless killed in the Reign of Terror. 7'' x 12.75'' document lists various memorandums regarding legal judgments and debts. Right side is trimmed with minor loss of content. Expected toning and minor chipping, overall in very good condition.
