Impressive 19th century French Neoclassical revival bronze sculpture with a rich brown patina signed a. Mayer in the lower back of the base, depicting a muscular young toga clad male water boy beholding the Greek key adorned water jug, also having a smaller double gourd form jug waist side suspended by and over-the-should sling, mounted on a circular plinth marble base, measuring 18.5 inches /46.25cm height (without the base) and 21 inches /52.5cm height (with the base). Condition: 2 small holes filled in on the upper back (this sculpture might have been mounted to a lamp at some point). They are professional filled in and hard to notice, however being mentioned for accuracy sake. Overall very good condition (see images).
