French Napoleonic era double barrel flintlock officers pistol circa about 1800-1815. Measures 14” overall with SxS mounted barrel of approximately .50 caliber smoothbore. The wrist has a provision to attach shoulderstock (Missing) but cover plate is retained. The barrels are gold damascened in block letters and decorative motifs “Cannon Tordu”. The pistol shows a high quality re-conversion back to flint and completerestoration of European quality. Excellent as restored except wood loss beneath the right hammer and some marks on the butt.
