The top barrel flat is marked "Mle 1874" with the serial number on the upper left flat, circled "R" and "T" proofs on the left flat and "S.1885" on the right flat. Left side of the flat is marked "Mre d'Armes / St Etienne". Full serial number also appears on frame, cylinder, trigger guard, and cylinder pin, with the partial serial number "58" on the grip screw, trigger guard, and cylinder pin release. Marked "Ronnie" on right side of frame, a flower on left side of frame, and "Ruby" on the butt, all non-factory markings. Checkered grips with a "OFFERT PAR LE MINISTRE DE LA GUERRE / PRIX DE TIR" (offered by the Minister of War / prize for shooting) marked silver plaque on the left grip panel. There is a lanyard ring mounted on the butt.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus bright original high polish blue finish showing some thinning to a brown with some minor edge and muzzle wear. The trigger, hammer and loading gate retain 80% original straw color. The grips are excellent with a couple minor pressure dents along with some scattered minor dings and nicks. Overall the checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
