The sword shows elaborate grip and mountings with cast brass guard, scabbard mounts; showing fancy florals, drums, bugles, and helmets with fancy lion head pommel, all of which show most of anoriginal gold gilt that has toned nicely. The grip is leather over wood with wire wrap and in good condition. The blade measures 32" and is in excellent condition, showing its bright original polish. The mounts arecompletely uncleaned and show at least 50-70% of their gold finish, which is going to a nice uncleaned patina.
