French J. Gouery Noel Patent 10-Round Pill Lock Turret Revolver
Produced in France circa 1860, this pistol used a vertically oriented turret cylinder to fire ten rounds in one loading. Dovetailed blade front and notch rear sights, with "SYSTEME A NOEL/ BTE SGDG" on the left side of the rib, "J.I. GOUERY CANATOCH/ PARIS" on the right, scroll engraving on many parts, and eight decorative cut-through holes on each side of the frame. The bar hammer is fitted with a safety catch. "121" is marked on the sideplate, trigger and metal buttcap. Ribbed hardwood grips, with floral patterns at the tops.

Very good, with traces of the original blue finish in the protected areas, with a mixed gray and brown patina overall, mild dings and light spotting. A section has broken off the safety catch and is absent. Grips are also very good, with mild pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
