We are offering a magnificent Gien two handled faience bowl made in the period 1871-75. This dating is based on the Gien mark.

To the front and rear, there is a magnificent armorial of the crowned salamander used by the French kings in the 14 and 15th century.

The centre of the bowl is painted with a gorgeous scene resembling medieval work or neo classical.

In superb condition apart from a minute chip and roughly 12 oclock at the interior rim.
