<td width="100%">
We are pleased to offer one of the most wonderful birds I have ever seen.

It is a pheasant with his wings raised standing on a branch wth leraves berlow. Raised on a gilded base similar to those used in French clocks during the early part of the 19th century.

I believe that most of the pheasant is gilded bronze though it could well be a very heavy spelter. There are no breaks or repairs.

The pheasant is extremely heavy and though we have examined the item closely cannot detect any signature.

The gilding is worn in several places to a almost a silvery colour. It is conceivable that the gilding was touched up at some time or other.

Wonderfully decorative and quite massive.
